  SKYWARN TRAINING

St. Louis County R.A.C.E.S. / SKYWARN Program

Proud to be a Storm-Ready County since 2001!

Have you been to other SKYWARN classes and found them generic and boring? Even if you have to travel some distance to attend a St. Louis County class, you will find them educational, enlightening, and beneficial.

As some out-of-towners have told us, "Your classes are great - definitely worth the trip!" You are welcome at St. Louis County SKYWARN classes even if you work or reside outside the county.

SKYWARN CLASSES ARE POST CERTIFIED!

For police officers, fire department personnel, dispatchers, etc. you will receive 2 credits for attending our SKYWARN classes! Please ask at either the beginning or end of the class for the card to fill out. We will then submit them for you to receive your POST credits!

SKYWARN CLASSES HAVE BEEN SCHEDULED FOR 2012!

Spring classes for 2012 have been scheduled. Due to NWS budget constraints there will only be three classes conducted this year - all three will be this Spring and they're listed below. Hopefully next year we may be able to go back to a schedule which includes classes in both Spring and Fall..

~~~UNIQUE TO THE ST. LOUIS COUNTY SKYWARN PROGRAM~~~
The St. Louis County SKYWARN Weather Reference Compact Disc! These CDs will be sent with training certificates. They contain weather spotter manuals and reference materials no longer available or current, as these have become too expensive to print in the large volumes various sources have provided in the past. This is yet another great reason to attend a St. Louis County SKYWARN class!
Attend one of the most comprehensive weather observer and safety training programs in the Midwest, with numerous informative handouts and related materials. For additional information email j_g_wozniak@yahoo.com or check here, for the latest  class schedule, dates and locations. More than just a spotter class, this is information which could save your life! Our severe weather training is taking the area by storm!
